The Sound of Baseball was launched in
December of 2005.  The purpose of this site is to
feature the great voices that have described the
game of baseball, both past and present, radio and
TV.

thesoundofbaseball.com was created and is
maintained by Mario Impemba.  Impemba is the
television announcer for the Detroit Tigers on FSN
Detroit.  Impemba also served as the radio voice of
the California/Anaheim Angels from 1995-2001.  
He joined the Tigers in 2002.
